Summary

アパレルブランドのMINOTAUR INST.は半導体メーカーのインテルジャパンと、AI技術を活用した店頭キャンペーンを2024年8月10日(土)から9月9日(月)の期間限定で開催いたしました。 本キャンペーンにおいてTHINK AND SENSEは、インテルの最新Core Ultraプロセッサを搭載したPCを使用し、MINOTAUR INST.のLook BookをAI処理によりオリジナルのLook Bookへと生成する体験を提供いたしました。

The apparel brand MINOTAUR INST. and Intel Japan, a leading semiconductor manufacturer, held a limited-time in-store campaign utilizing AI technology from August 10 (Sat) to September 9 (Mon), 2024. As part of this campaign, THINK AND SENSE provided an interactive experience where visitors could generate their own personalized Look Book. Using a PC powered by Intel’s latest Core Ultra processor, the system applied AI processing to MINOTAUR INST.’s official Look Book to create unique, individualized versions.

本キャンペーンでは、「Core Ultraを知らないお客様」と「既知のテック界隈」の両方にアプローチできる施策を目指しました。 ・ファッションとして通用するクオリティの展開 ファッションとして充分通用するクオリティの作品展開をすることで、 「Core Ultraを知らないお客様」にも、Core Ultraのブランドの意義を訴求する ・Core Ultraの先進的なAI観を表現するAIアプリケーションとしてのユニークさ 「既知のテック界隈」から見ても取り組みがユニークであると感じられる内容になっていることで、Intel Core UltraのAI観の先進性を伝える

This campaign was designed to engage both customers unfamiliar with Intel Core Ultra and tech-savvy audiences by offering two key approaches: ・Fashion-level visual quality By presenting a final output with aesthetics that stand on their own in the world of fashion, the experience appealed to audiences unfamiliar with Core Ultra, communicating the brand’s value and relevance in a new context. ・A uniquely AI-driven application that reflects Core Ultra’s advanced AI vision For those already familiar with tech trends, the campaign offered a distinctive and creative use of AI, effectively showcasing the forward-thinking AI capabilities of Intel Core Ultra.

Concept

ブランドが実現する価値を「Scene」として表現する「Look Book」。 AIの画像生成テクノロジーによって、コレクションのコンセプトに紐づいた 「Look」を自動で生成し続けることで、大量の「Look」、つまり「Scene」の集まりを生成します。 本来、「一瞬」に様々な情報を込める「Look」を、大量に生成し展開することでブランドが表現する世界観を連続したものとして表現し、より「本質」を表層化させます。 本企画において、AIテクノロジーによるファッションの新しい表現手法を提案します。 ※Look Bookとは、ブランドのユニークさを「Scene」として表現する写真やカタログのことです。スタイリング、情景、画角などの様々な情報を一つの「Scene」としての静止状態に込めることで、ノンバーバルにブランドを表現します。ファッションの表現手法として普遍的な一つの手法として、用いられ続けております。

A “Look Book” is a visual collection that expresses a brand’s unique value through a series of “scenes.” In this project, we utilized AI image generation technology to continuously produce original “looks” that align with the collection’s concept—creating a dynamic and expansive set of scenes. Traditionally, a “look” is a single moment packed with styling, emotion, and narrative. By generating these at scale, the brand’s world is no longer presented as fragmented moments, but as a continuous, evolving visual identity—surfacing the brand’s essence more clearly than ever before. Through this initiative, we propose a new approach to fashion expression powered by AI technology. ※ A Look Book is a visual catalog that non-verbally communicates a brand’s identity through styling, setting, composition, and mood. It is a time-tested method in fashion to encapsulate the brand’s perspective in a still scene.

画像生成AIによって、常に生成されるLook Bookのシステムを開発・実装いたしました。 シーズンとシチュエーションのプロンプトを元に、AIが様々な「Scene」を生成いたします。MINOTAUR INST.の提案するスタイルを、架空の様々な場所で展開していく様子をLook Bookとして表現いたします。

We developed and implemented a generative Look Book system powered by AI image generation. Using prompts related to the season and scenario, the system continuously generates various “scenes,” showcasing MINOTAUR INST.’s styling concepts across imagined environments.

Applicaiton

TouchDesigner上で様々なシーンでのLook Bookを生成するシステムを開発しました。インテルCore Ultra プロセッサー搭載のNPUを利用した画像生成にOpenVINOを使用。ローカルでのパフォーマンスの高いAI処理を実現しました。

Built in TouchDesigner, the system utilizes OpenVINO for image generation, running on Intel Core Ultra processors with integrated NPU, enabling high-performance AI processing locally.

ユーザが、元となるLOOKおよび画像生成におけるプロンプトなどのパラメータを選択することで、様々なSceneを生成できるアプリを実装。 また、画像生成にはStable DiffusionのInpaint機能を使用しました。Inpaintを用いて背景のみを生成することによって、より背景とモデルが馴染むような画像を生成しています。 ※Inpaintとはマスクで指定した画像の一部分をAIで自然に置き換える機能です。画像の一部だけを修正・変更・削除することが可能ですが、本件ではモデルの背景生成に使用しました。

An interactive app was also developed, allowing users to select base looks and prompt parameters, which then generate unique, personalized scenes. For image generation, we used the inpainting function of Stable Diffusion. By applying inpainting only to the background, we created more natural compositions that blend seamlessly with the model. ※ Inpainting is a feature that allows users to replace selected parts of an image with AI-generated content. In this case, it was used specifically to generate realistic backgrounds behind the models.

Display

店舗内に複数のモニタ－を設置し、Generative Lookを表示させることで、店舗全体を「Generative Look Book」として展開いたしました。 また、「Core ultra PC」を店内の見える位置に設置し、来場したお客様に生成パラメータをインタラクティブに変更してもらうタッチ＆トライが可能な店舗展示を実現しました。

Inside the store, multiple monitors displayed the continuously generated looks—turning the space itself into a “Generative Look Book.” A Core Ultra-powered PC was placed in a visible location, allowing visitors to interact with the system and try generating their own looks by adjusting parameters in real time.
