Summary

2024年8月16日・17日に開催された「RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL 2024 in EZO」にて、 片桐企業グループと協力し、飲食エリア併設のイマーシブシアター映像「Massive Nature Immersive」を制作しました。

THINK AND SENSE collaborated with the Katagiri Group to create “Massive Nature Immersive,” an immersive theater experience installed next to the food area at RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL 2024 in EZO, held on August 16–17, 2024.

Background

本作は、北海道の新しい魅力を発信する観光プロモーションとして企画されました。 雄大な自然や文化を、言語に頼らないノンバーバル表現とデジタルならではのイマーシブ体験で描き出し、直感的に楽しめる作品を目指しました。

This project was conceived as a tourism promotion to showcase a new perspective on Hokkaido’s appeal. By combining non-verbal expressions that don’t rely on language with immersive digital experiences, the piece portrays the region’s majestic nature and culture in a way that feels intuitive and engaging.

Concept

北海道の雄大な自然が持つスケール感や迫力を、そのまま“体験”として届けることを目指した作品です。 多くの人が北海道の壮大さを「知識」としては知っていても、実際にその自然を全身で味わったことがある人は多くありません。 本作では、その“知っている”から一歩先の“感じた・体感した”へとつながる一部を、デジタルテクノロジーで再現しています。

This work aims to deliver the overwhelming scale and power of Hokkaido’s vast natural landscape as a direct, immersive “experience.” While many people know about Hokkaido’s grandeur, far fewer have actually felt its nature with their whole body. Through digital technology, this piece recreates a part of that shift—from simply “knowing” to genuinely “feeling” and “experiencing.”

Visual Design

北海道の雄大な自然をそのまま体験へと落とし込むため、ドローンカメラで取得した3Dスキャンデータをもとに映像化しました。 知床の大自然を点群表現で再構築し、3面LEDへ投影することで、圧倒的なスケールを“その場で体感できる”イマーシブ演出を実現しています。

To translate the grandeur of Hokkaido’s nature into a fully immersive experience, we created the visuals using 3D scan data captured with drone cameras. By reconstructing the vast landscape of Shiretoko in point-cloud form and projecting it across three LED screens, we created an immersive environment where visitors can feel the overwhelming scale as if they were standing right there.
